About GLP- POWER

The project, Global Labor Program- Platform for Organising by Workers for Empowerment and Recognition (GLP-POWER) seeks to empower marginalized informal workers in Asia. Despite Asia's growing economic powers, Asian countries struggle to offer decent work conditions to their workers, especially the informal workers. The project aims to assess and promote new and innovative modes of organising the marginalized informal/precarious workers to enhance workers' agency and effective bargaining, regional solidarity & inclusion, and visibility of workers' causes, while overcoming the impediments and restricted democratic space in their environments. The project has been designed and is being implemented by a consortium of three organisations- Solidar Suisse Asia, Pragya and British Institute of International and Comparative Law.
